Putting music in a PowerPoint Presentation?

I know how to put music in a single slide. Is there a way to put one piece of music to play continuously while the slides are showing? It soudns like I'm creating a music video out of a whole set of slides. I want the slides to continue playing as the song plays uninterrupted. Is there a way to do that?

PLEASE. Serious answers only.

This is a very simple thing to do, here is the step by step :).

1. Create a .mp3 or a .wav or a sound file of the sound/music you want to play. For example: Beethoven9th.mp3

2. On your PPT program, go to Inset on your toolbars and scroll down to Movies and Sounds. (Make sure you are on your first slide)

3. Select Sound from File and locate the sound file on your hard drive.

4. Once the music is loaded, there should be a little speaker that appears on the slide, right click that little speaker and go to Custom Animation.

5. In the Multimedia Settings tab, uncheck play using animation order, and check the bubble saying Continue slide show. Finally, check After __ Slides in the "Stop Playing" options and enter in the number of slides you have.

6. If the song is not long enough to last throughout the whole presentation, you can check loop until stopped in More Options.

7. Click ok. Now the music should play when you start the slideshow and end when you finish. Make sure that if you are going to bring this presentation elsewhere that you have the music file on that computer.
